Innovationshøjskolen nu formelt stiftet
Så er Innovationshøjskolen en realitet.
Det var et fornøjeligt og engageret stiftende repræsentantskabsmøde i går, hvor advokat Karsten Duch Lynggard fornemt formåede at gennemgå vedtægterne både grundigt og kyndigt.
De forskellige tilføjelser og rettelser til vedtægterne vil nu blive indskrevet og den nyvalgte bestyrelse vil, ud over at konstituerer sig, blive bedt om, at træffer afgørelse om kontingent, adresseringen heraf samt og vigtigt - placeringen af Innovationshøjskolen.
Så der ligger lidt arbejde til bestyrelsen, som består af:

Innovationshøjskolen er en udløber af Global Entrepreneurship Week og er bl.a. konkretiseret efter GEW topmødet i Operaen 2009, hvor Innovationshøjskolen blev en del af sluterklæringen. Innovationshøjskolen er en ambitiøs vision om, at skabe et nationalt epicenter for innovation som skal gøre individet i stand til at forstå, handle og tænke innovativt - altså styrke det innovative mindset. Innovationshøjskolen er i dag et produkt af de inputs, som Innovationshøjskolens interessenter, dvs. private og offentlige virksomheder og organisationer, har budt ind med. OECD; SMEs, Entrepreneurship and Innovation; new report
In the foreword to the new publication 'SMEs, Entrepreneurship and Innovation' OECD write that the combined forces of globalization, technological progress and growing market demand have created a new type of innovation: One that is widespread across many agents and sectors and is open.
This brings in new key players that brings new ideas to the market. These new ideas is transformed into new business and new firms growing rapidly and named "gazelles". These new business and new firms contribute to the economy.
To support this development the OECD publication 'SMEs, Entrepreneurship and Innovation' also explores three major - and yet insufficiently recognized action areas that are new to much of the policy world. These are:
Knowledge flow - collaboration between the agents and sectors
Empower people to innovate - develop and upgrade skills and capabilities in innovation
Social entrepreneurship and social innovation - to respond to social needs and challenges
The intention of the 'SMEs, Entrepreneurship and Innovation' publication is to become a flagship that inspires policy makers to face the challenges of the 21st century.

Who owns The Innovationshøjskole?
There has been a question about the ownership of Innovationshøjskolen. Innovationshøjskolen is an independent institution. This means that it is characterized by
a) it assets is irrevocably separated from the founders or depositors assests,
b) it has one or more purposes described in its statute,
c) it has an autonomous and independent leadership, and
d) it is intended to operate over a longer period under the general fund legal regulation or an indefinite period established in the statute.
Innovationshøjskolen is therefore own by it's self.
If Innovationshøjskolen one day decide to stop operations and liquidate Innovationshøjskolen, then the assets go to public and charitable purposes.
It is only the representatives that can decide to stop operations and liquidate Innovationshøjskolen.

Innovation in the public sector
The public sector facing these years a number of major challenges such as aging, labor shortages and an increased expectations of a demand-oriented, individually tailored public. If these challenges and wishes shall be successfully met, the public sector requires a strong focus on innovation.
To create this strong focus on innovation we need to create an innovative thinking public sector that has an eye for efficiency, quality and service that match the welfare and quality of life the Society expects or may have to accept.
We might also have to reinvent the welfare and quality of life that the public sector provide.

Stiftende repræsentantskabsmøde 28. Juni 2010 Innovationshøjskolen
Human capital is the essence of innovation. Empowering people to innovate relies on broad and relevant education as well as on the development of wide-ranging skills that complement formal education. Curricula and pedagogies need to be adapted to equip students with the capacity to learn and apply new skills throughout their lives. At the same time, education and skills development systems require reform to ensure they are efficient and meet the requirements of society today…

Innovationshøjskolen skal give os metoder, redskaber og tankemåder, der gør os bedre til at møde og forstå udfordringer nu og i fremtiden, trække os hen til nye muligheder samt gøre os i stand til at handle på endnu ukendte muligheder. Innovationshøjskolen skal gøre os i stand til at lære af fremtiden.
Kort sagt: Innovationshøjskolen skal gøre individet myndigt til at forstå, handle og tænke innovativt
Med henblik på stiftelse af den selvejende institution Innovationshøjskolen indbydes hermed til stiftende repræsentantskabsmøde.
Forslag til dagsorden er følgende:
- Velkomst og valg af dirigent.
- Gennemgang og godkendelse af vedtægtsudkast.
- Beslutning om stiftelse af den selvejende institution Innovationshøjskolen.
- Valg af bestyrelse.
- Valg af revisor.
- Eventuelt.
I henhold til udkast til vedtægter foreslås den selvejende institution Innovationshøjskolen organiseret med et repræsentantskab bestående af myndige personer, som er valgt eller udpeget af fonde, foreninger, institutioner, organisationer eller virksomheder med egne vedtægter og egne procedurer for valg/udpegning, som har interesse i Innovationshøjskolens formål.
Repræsentantskabet vælger en bestyrelse på maksimal 9 medlemmer, og mindst 5 vælges blandt repræsentantskabets medlemmer.
Det stiftende repræsentantskabsmøde finder sted mandag den 28. Juni 2010 kl. 13:00 på det tidligere Haslev Udvidede Højskole, Højskolevej 9 A, 4690 Haslev.

How to ensure that others can benefit from the outcome of Innovationshøjskolen?
Innovationshøjskolen has, as part of its foundation, the concept of "Open Source Innovation", which guarantees everyone access to the knowledge produced by Innovationshøjskolen - based on th emindset: The more we share, the more we get.

Innovationshøjskolen is based on the Danish folk high school tradition, in a renewal form and content by bringing together many different actors, who not work together normally and draw on their knowledge and also by making the understanding of innovation a part of the new general education ideal.
How does Innovationshøjskolen contributes to improving the industry, especially Danish industry, competitiveness?
The need to develop new products and processes in our businesses and industries has been reinforced by the economic crisis and the social, global challenges we face. OECD and others agree that innovation is the source of new growth and innovation is largely created by making individual become innovative, which is the aim of Innovationshøjskolen.
What is the purpose of Innovationshøjskolen?
Innovationhøjskolen is a project that aims to strengthen the competitiveness by strengthening the individual's innovative capabilities. This is done through the competence model of Innovationshøjskolen and in a close collaboration with the private industry, who contributes with concrete knowledge, challenges and resources.
